IT Security Manager

On behalf of our rapidly growing client based in Greater Manchester, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic IT Security Manager. As an IT Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and resilience of the IT systems and products used by the organisation, following best practices and business requirements. You will also help to design, implement, and maintain services that systematically detect and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities in current and future systems, ensuring that appropriate and effective risk controls are in place to protect the IT systems.

The IT Security Manager will be responsible for:

• Help to investigate and respond to any security incidents
• Help to deploy and monitor Anti-Virus/ Anti-Spyware solutions
• Monitor the security patching of IT systems
• Implement and monitor technical standards across the group
• Ensure that the new system design meets security requirements

The IT Security Manager will have the following skills:

• CISSP / CISM Certification
• Experience in writing and presenting reports
• Knowledge and practical experience with cyber security toolsets such as Tenable/Nessus, CrowdStrike, Firewalls etc.
• Experience of Information risk assessment and management
• Experience with Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations.
• Proven Experience in leading a Cyber security management function
• Managing third-party web application PEN testing suppliers
• Maintain, analyse, and monitor cybersecurity threats
• Conducting security and data protection assessments with internal business units and external third parties to ensure ongoing security and data protection requirements are met
