IT Support Analyst

Location: Lichfield (Fully Onsite – Driving Licence is essential)

Full Time – Permanent

Salary – Circa £30,000

The Role

My client are a West Midlands based transport company who have, for nearly twenty years, played a crucial part in revolutionising and easing motorway journeys in the West Midlands. Furthermore, they have demonstrated an excellent level of ecological awareness and supported many conservation and ecological projects in the surrounding areas. Another element of this strategy is their strategy that will ultimately deliver an outcome of Net Zero for the business.

They also have an excellent reputation as a business to work for and employees who join them tend to stay and have long term, successful careers there.

And now, they are looking for an IT Support Analyst to join their team in Lichfield.

Working within the IT Team you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of resolving user’s issues and answering tickets in a timely manner. You will be the primary point of technical support for a wide range of users on a variety of hardware, software and peripherals. I am looking for somebody with excellent problem-solving skills along with a strong level of expertise especially in a Microsoft heavy environment.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

• Computer literacy including but not limited to Windows/Office applications.
• An understanding of Cyber protection and analysis of risks.
• ITIL Understanding Knowledge of projectlifecycle and delivery in a technical environment
  • Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft 365 tools
  • Azure/Active Directory.
  • Windows 10/11 operating Systems.
• Hardware – Servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, Switches, Routers and Firewalls.
• Basic network troubleshooting
• Good communication skills
• Experience on customer services activities.
• Experience in L1/L2 & some L3 support.
• Hardware – Servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, Switches, Routers and Firewalls.
• Good planning and organisational skills, able to juggle competing priorities and take an appropriate course of action.
• Experience working in a helpdesk or support environment

Desirable Skills & Expertise

• Knowledge of Power apps/Power automate.
• Basic understanding of business financial processes.
• Awareness of information security and ensuring that all business and technical proposals adhere to information security policies.
• Experience in gathering requirements & taking notes.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit all levels of stakeholders/customers.
• Experience in using/administering TopDesk for delivering IT support services.

Please note that due to the location of the office a full UK driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
