Howarth Morris is seeking an IT System Auditor for a global manufacturing company in Lancashire. The team conducts audits focused on information systems across all regions, business lines, and central functions within the organisation. The position offers remote work opportunities with required international travel.Please note: Applicants must be based in the UK and able to travel to Lancashire a few times per week. Sponsorship is not available for this role.Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive audits of IT systems, infrastructure, and processes to assess their effectiveness, compliance, and security posture. Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the IT environment and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate these risks. Evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of IT controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations, to identify potential audit areas and provide valuable recommendations for improvement. Document audit findings, prepare clear and concise reports, and present them to relevant stakeholders and management. Stay updated on the latest developments in IT auditing, security, and compliance to integrate best practices into the organisation. Assist in the development and enhancement of internal audit methodologies, tools, and frameworks.Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Qualifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor are preferred. (BSc/BA) Bachelor’s degree in Systems is desirable. 2-3 years of experience in Systems audit. Proven experience in IT auditing, risk assessment, or compliance. Knowledge of international information security standards such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST Cyber Security Framework, TISAX, and PCI DSS. Familiarity with various IT platforms, operating systems, databases, and network infrastructure. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive and adaptable approach to tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey audit findings and recommendations. Ability and willingness to travel worldwide is essential. No visa sponsorship with this role. Applicants MUST be permanent residents of the UK.
