IT Technician(Birmingham)£30,000We are seeking an IT Technician to join our dynamic technology and transformation team, as we expand our presence into the Birmingham office. This unique position provides an opportunity to extend on-site IT customer service to satellite offices, along with delivering essential IT and security support to our team. As part of this role, you’ll have the chance to travel across the London, Birmingham, and North regions, with all travel expenses fully covered for your assignments.

As a key player in this position, you will be actively involved in projects focusing on assessing new office IT needs, modernizing hardware and infrastructure, enhancing digital resilience, ensuring network and Wi-Fi stability, and managing the renewal of Cyber Essentials accreditation. Adaptability is crucial as you navigate various environments, both independently and collaboratively with the team, while maintaining a dedicated and customer-centric approach.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing network architecture and infrastructure support
• Offering first-line on-site assistance to the Birmingham office team, addressing IT queries, and managing hardware and software maintenance, network support, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Providing additional infrastructure and network support on-site and remotely in collaboration with the team.
• Supporting the company’s expansion in terms of office suitability, occasionally requiring out-of-hours work.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a hands-on IT role
• CompTIA accreditations are desireable
• Network and Security Plus training
• Relevant IT degree or qualifications
• Experience with Cyber Essentials is beneficial
• Possession of a full driver’s license or the capability to travel to the North and South of England
• Ability to maintain high performance under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to continually expand your knowledge
