.NET Software Developer – Maidenhead – £50,000 – £60,000 per annum

Hi ! My name is Terence and I work as the COO at ORCA Service Technologies (Part of the MCFT Group). We are a small software development firm located in Maidenhead, UK. Our team delivers bespoke software products for a Facility Service and Field Service organisations across the world. I am looking for an experienced .NET developer to join our growing product development team.

About the role

We’re excited to be adding to the team! We have a great opportunity to bring in a .NET Software Engineer during an exciting period of growth to support with on-going projects as well as new, working closely with internal and external customers. We are looking for someone with experience to allow us to level up our existing software solutions, improving functionality and stability along the way.

To ‘click’ all the right boxes, we need you to have the following experience:

Must have:

min. 5 years of software development experience

BSc in Computer Science or equivalent

Proven track record of software development project work

Great communicator, both within the team and with customers and stakeholders

Skilled Team player, but also fully able to deliver solo on projects

Experienced in C#

Experienced with .NET Framework and .NET Core

Have a working proficiency with OOP, Entity Framework, Unit Testing (MS Unit / nUnit / xUnit)

Experienced in JavaScript

Master of SQL, HTML5 and CSS

Experienced user of Git Version Control and CI/CD

Knows their way around Windows Server and IIS

Skilled in Agile SCRUM Software Development Methodologies

Shows versatility: from bug fixing to platform architecture.

Delighted to code review work from Junior Developers

Nice to have:

Experience with Microservice Architectures

Experience with Azure PaaS services

Experience with PWA development (including IndexedDb)

Exposed to / experienced with Infrastructure as code (Terraform)

Experience with Cloud Hosting (Azure and AWS)

Bulma CSS Framework Experience

Previous experience with GitLab

JQuery proficiency

Cyber Security Oriented / Experience in ISO 27001 and GDPR

Microsoft SQL Management Studio / Azure Data Studio

Experienced with the CI/CD Software Development Cycles
