Network Security Consultant – Telco- Permanent, £70,000-£80,000- Hybrid – NIST, DNS, Telecommunications

Network Security consultant is urgently needed by a leading Telecommunications provider to work as part of their dynamic and experienced team.

Are you someone who can lead and drive the Cyber Security culture at a leading telecommunications company? As a Network Security Consultant, you will work across a variety of Telco clients based on the Government’s new Security Framework. Working as an SME in Security, you will have a strong background and understanding of Network Architecture, Risk and management of the supply chain. This emerging role will cover focus on governance and compliance.

*This role requires a deep knowledge of the telecommunications industry and best practice, including technical skills like Mobile 5G Signaling and VoIP.*

Role:

• You will work with wider network and security teams to assess how well telecom providers respond to security incidents.
• Monitoring and analysis of potential threats.
• Provide information that is detailed regarding risk assessments delivered.
• Provide support and maintain new legislation.
• Offer expertise and advice when needed to compliance monitoring team.
• Provide technical support while working with investigation teams.
• Policy implementation- ensure government agencies and wider industry stakeholders policies are aligned.

Skills and experience:

• Telecommunications- industry experience.
• Mobile 5G Signaling.
• VoIP.
• Strong infrastructure experience.
• Previous technical experience within security- DNS, Internet exchange
  • Network security, cyber resilience.
• NIST, NCSC Frameworks.
• DNS Providers.
• CISSP, CISM.
