Role: Sr. Business Analyst with Infrastructure Knowledge

Location: London, UK

Experience: 7-10 years

Salary: 60k – 70k GBP/ year

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
• Analyze and translate business needs into technical specifications, focusing on infrastructure requirements (e.g., servers, networks, storage, cloud services).
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes.

Project Management and Coordination:

• Assist in planning and managing IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Prepare project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for improving business processes through the effective use of IT infrastructure.
• Develop and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
• Work with business units to implement and monitor process improvements.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support and expertise in resolving complex infrastructure-related issues.
• Liaise with IT teams to ensure issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and solutions.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and the IT infrastructure team.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
• Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.

Strategic Planning:

• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align IT infrastructure initiatives with business objectives.
• Contribute to the development of long-term IT infrastructure strategies and roadmaps.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

Key deliverables:

-Analysis and creation of traceable requirements across programme deliverables. In doing so proactively and independently, gather requirements and approach the Tech owners in the business to request and collate the required data.

-Engage relevant stakeholders to secure additional data as required to enable programmatic metrics to be presented to evidence progress and where appropriate cyber risk reduction.

-Analyse raw, unstructured data and produce written documentation to show workflows, processes, user journeys etc.

-Present data and analysis for the business in multiple, professional formats including dashboards.

-Manage escalations or guidance on extremely complex issues.

-Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks to ensure the programme delivers against its’ commitments to key internal and external stakeholder groups.

-Have demonstrable experience of working on projects relating to IT Security and Cyber disciplines.

-Supporting the analysis and Tech BA deliverables for one or more projects in the programme.

-Lead the technical analysis effort seeking to understand the business problems within a technically complex landscape.

-Evaluate the business needs and support the building of business case from technical perspective.

-Identify necessary stakeholders liaising with architects and various technical teams.

-Work independently with self-initiative to deliver the analysis tasks proactively.

-Be dynamic and adaptable individuals comfortable in providing analytical, research advice, recommendations and using your own judgement.

-Demonstrate problem-solving skills, someone who endeavours to move blockers out of the way or present options on how to achieve this.

-Display excellent communications including written and verbal skills across all levels of the business.

-Have a demonstrable track record of delivering tangible results in a timely manner.
