We are recruiting a Senior Defence Cyber Security Consultant for a globally market-leading consultancy in Bristol Our teams are what leads us forward and we are therefore looking for the best talent to join us as we continue to bring the best to the table. Due to the nature of our customers, you must be eligible for security clearance or already hold SC/DV clearance.

WHAT WILL THE SENIOR DEFENCE CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT BE DOING?

• Provide cybersecurity advice for clients in various contexts, including routine operations, technical updates, and new projects.
• Apply innovative thinking and technical security knowledge across complex scenarios.
• Establish strong security governance to meet client business needs.
• Use Defense security policies to ensure secure outcomes for managed systems.
• Oversee security assurance for Defense systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and secure use
• Conduct cost-effective cybersecurity risk assessments to protect information assets.
• Develop, review, and update security-related documents and policies.
• Build positive relationships with team members, customers, and stakeholders to enhance security services’ value.

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE

• Extensive background in delivering technical Cyber Security consultancy in diverse environments.
• Expertise in Information Assurance, covering risk assessments, management, and control deployment.
• Strong communicator, excelling in both verbal and concise written communication.
• Proficient at articulating Cyber Security advice to diverse stakeholders, whether technical or non-technical.
• Skilled multitasker, adept at managing concurrent projects and tasks while prioritizing business and client needs.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and managing client expectations.
• Adaptable team player, comfortable working independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary and matrix environments.
• Comprehensive awareness of Cyber Security in Government and Industry, including HMG Information Assurance Policies, Standards, and Guidelines.

Certifications required:

• ISO27000, NIST Cyber Security Professional, CISMP
• CESG IA
• MoD JSPs such as JSP440, JSP604
