Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer/3rd Line Support Engineer, ready to take the next step in your career? Join a renowned IT Support company in London as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. You will play a key role in a growing team, responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and security of a diverse range of clients, while also spearheading technical projects.

This position is ideal for a candidate who has already held a senior support role, possesses strong infrastructure skills such as a thorough understanding of Windows Server and AD domains, and is eager to take the lead on projects while also mentoring junior team members.

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)

What will your working week be like?

• To be the senior member of the team responsible for all incoming client requests, triaging and attempting resolution on the majority of 1st – 3rd support requests via phone, email, and remote tools all while providing an exceptional client experience.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Lead and coordinate escalated tickets, collaborating with the IT team and external vendors.
• Manage and maintain servers, storage, network, and security infrastructure.
• Spearhead upgrade and integration projects for clients.

Requirements:

• Extensive IT infrastructure experience, including servers, storage, network, and security technologies, preferably in an MSP environment.
• 10 years minimum commercial experience
• Proficient with on-premises to cloud migration is an essential for this role.
• Experienced in Exchange Migration.
• Open minded attitude to new technologies and maintaining technical training/certifications
• Proficiency in Windows Server, AD Domains, GPO management, networking, and cloud platforms (Azure, Azure, InTune, Admin, AWS, O365).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Familiarity with ITIL, Prince2, or Agile methodologies.
• Excellent TCP/IP & network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Cyber Security or Cyber Essentials are a plus.
• Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or relevant technologies are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field would be desirable.
