Job Role: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Hertfordshire (hybrid working)

Salary – 50-60,000 per annum + package

Concept Resourcing are working with an established Hertfordshire based business to recruit an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to look after their head office infrastructure estate. In this role you will be responsible for network and server hardware, and manage the design, implementation, and optimisation the IT infrastructure set up.

This role would suit someone with a broad technical understand across a range of on-prem infrastructure and cloud technologies, who would be looking to become more involved in the design and overall planning and strategy for an infrastructure environment, taking ownership of projects and driving change.

The Role

• Manage and update the whole IT Infrastructure for the estate
• Configure and manage Servers, VM’s, Storage and Network equipment
• Responsible for network and cyber security for the site
• Monitor, maintain and optimise infrastructure capacity, performance, and security
• Provide regular systems and security status reports
• Document project technical specification and design
• Design, implement, migrate, and maintain software systems related to networks and security

The Ideal Candidate

• Gained a broad hands-on technical understanding from an internal support role or managed service provider
• A strong background supporting and installing network hardware (ideally Cisco or HP) is especially key
• Basic level cyber security knowledge
• Experience with Azure hosted environments
• Experience with Windows servers, Intune, VOIP, and VPNs
• Comfortable as the focal point of contact for all things IT infrastructure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to display excellent levels of internal stakeholder engagement
