Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer – Tech Lead / MSP- £55-65K – SW London

Overview:

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a managed service provider for an experienced Lead Support Engineer. Our client is providing high-level support to recognised businesses over 2 decades and are continuously expanding.

As the IT Technical Lead, you will be responsible for all technical deployments and new technology introduction. Through mentoring you will encourage your team of engineers to get the best from the solutions deployed.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver support and service solutions for Managed Service customers in line with the best practice across mainly a Microsoft Stack.
• Ensure we are utilising technology for the greater benefit for our clients.
• Encourage a high-performance culture in the team with a focus on teamwork, service excellence and ownership for resolving customer issues.
• Take responsibility for customer escalations and act as a point of escalation.
• Ensure teams are skilled, trained and developed to enable them to deliver high quality service and support.
• Quote, plan, and complete project work and migrations.
• Set the companies direction and share the rewards.

Skills & Experience:

• An experienced Technical Lead or Senior Infrastructure Engineer from an external, customer facing IT Managed Services background.
• Proven track record of delivering small technologically challenging short projects on budget e.g. server deployments.
• Great leadership and people management skills.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional service.
• Be able to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
• Strong technical background ideally in a 3rd line role of Networking and systems administration.
• Technical skills across Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, Windows server required and VMWare desirable.
• Technical skills with FortiGate firewalls preferred.
• Understanding of common SMB security frameworks such as Cyber Essentials and GDPR.
• Excellent communication, influencing and customer management skills.

Package:

• Up to £65,000 basic salary.
• Bonus opportunity.
