Our client in the educational sector is looking to hire a Senior Systems Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of IT you will act as 3rd line support and have line management responsibility of the Systems Engineer/s within a challenging, agile environment.
You will be responsible for ensuring the complex technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, delivering the highest levels of availability, performance and security. This includes the implementation, administration, support and continued development of IT services ensuring effective BAU operation of all enterprise IT systems and data center technologies.
This highly technical role where you will be providing 3rd line infrastructure support across the business. All infrastructure is on premise rather than through the cloud. Our client has a multi-site network built on a Hyper – V clustered virtualised environment. It is imperative that you have support experience of Microsoft sever applications, good SQL knowledge, DHCP & DNS.
Networking experience is considered advantageous but not essential. Our client has circa to 200 networks across 3 different sites. As part of your role, you will be asked to further develop and support the IT infrastructure and systems including Servers, SAN, network (LAN, WAN, WLAN), cyber security, data backups, client computing and telephony.
