Location:
* Scotland – Hybrid (on-site required)

Salary:
* £25,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience) + benefits + exceptional training

Job Role:
We are looking for a SIEM Security Engineer to join our team in Scotland. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SIEM systems within a SOC (Security Operations Centre) environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Utilize SIEM tools (eg, Splunk) for monitoring and analysing security events.
* Use SOC tools for intrusion detection, vulnerability assessment, and endpoint protection (eg, Microsoft Defender).
* Analyze and troubleshoot network and Firewall issues.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest security protocols and compliance requirements.
* Streamline processes through automation.
* Perform overall monitoring and troubleshooting of the security platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in a SOC environment using SIEM tools.
* Familiarity with intrusion detection systems, vulnerability assessments, and endpoint protection systems.
* Strong analytical capabilities and knowledge of computer networks and Firewalls.
* Understanding of the current cybersecurity landscape and its impact on organizations.
* Relevant qualifications such as Splunk certification, CompTIA Security+, or similar are beneficial.
