Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst
A great opportunity for a proven SOC professional to join a leading consulting organization at the forefront of cybersecurity, providing critical defence and national security solutions. We are seeking a skilled Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst to work on-site in Hemel Hempstead. This role involves a 2-shift pattern, ensuring 24×7 coverage in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Security Clearance:
This role involves working with defence and national security clients; therefore, candidates must be able to pass a high level of security clearance. To be considered, applicants must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and be a British citizen.
Location: Hemel Hempstead, On-site

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time within a x7 operational framework.
• Utilize SIEM tools, with a preference for experience in Splunk or Sentinel.
• Defend critical IT systems against cyber threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance security measures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a SOC Analyst in a 24×7 environment.
• Proficient in working with SIEM tools, particularly Splunk or Sentinel.
• Expertise in defending critical IT systems against a range of cyber threats.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Previous experience working in a defence or national security environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a 2-shift pattern, covering a 24×7 operational environment.
• Relevant certifications would be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.)
