Job Responsibilities

In the role of Body Electronics Lead/Principal Architect, the chosen individual will play a pivotal role in designing and developing distributed functions within the Body Electronics Domain.

Responsibilities include:

• Crafting high-level system and software architectures for distributed body electronics features that redefine the driving experience.
• Designing scalable, modular, and flexible software solutions, adapting seamlessly to evolving technology and customer requirements.
• Leading the day-to-day management of the Body Electronics Engineering team, guiding them toward innovation and excellence.
• Developing network management and diagnostics requirements, ensuring the pulse of their systems remains robust.
• Achieving project objectives encompassing deadlines, function, costs, quality, industrialization, design for manufacturing, and mass production.
• Ensuring compliance with automotive safety standards (such as ISO 26262) and cybersecurity requirements for in-vehicle systems.
• Meeting maturity levels and deadlines according to quality gates for all projects.

Qualification, Skills, and Experience

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Possesses knowledge of body systems – security, doors, HVAC, Wash/Wiper, and lighting (desirable).
• Demonstrates proficiency in programming languages such as C/C+ and experience with embedded software development.
• Boasts good knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, aimed at the development of models for Body Control Module (BCM).
• Exhibits familiarity with Automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, and a nod to Ethernet knowledge (desirable).
• Holds knowledge of Vehicle Diagnostics (desirable).
• Brings experience in Automotive requirement management, understanding component/system level requirements, derivation of “Design Verification Method,” and “Design Verification Procedure.”
• Possesses excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Boasts strong communication skills, translating complex technical concepts into clear and concise messages for diverse audiences.
