Systems Architect – Dorset – 600p/day (Outside IR35)

Parity Network are recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation, who are looking to recruit a Systems Architect for an initial 6 months. This role will be hybrid working, 3 days per week in their Dorset office and 2 days remote.

This role will require you to go through security clearance before commencing if you do not have a security clearance already.

This role pays a maximum of 600p/day (DOE) and operating via your own Limited Co (deemed Outside IR35).

Role Responsibilities

• Part of the Architecture team to design and develop the logical, physical and enterprise architectures for the Trinity System, using Archimate and SysML following the NAF Framework
• Will be required to interpret and implement the Federated Mission Networking and develop the Enterprise architecture views.
• The selected candidate will have a demonstrably strong Systems Engineering background with knowledge and experience of the whole product development lifecycle.
• Can use and direct others in development of architecture to recognised standards using architecture frameworks.

Main Duties Include:

• Analyse, define, evaluate, plan, and deliver systems to meet programme, business, and customer requirements.
• Delivery of technical and System Integration capability and support both in a customer facing consultancy environment and internally facing roles.
• Apply engineering and architecture expertise to complex problems, products, and systems including process development.
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and other functions to help shape their thinking.
• Maintain a good understanding of competitors and suppliers’ products and services.

Essential Experience:

• Model Based Systems Engineering using Architectural Frameworks such as MODAF/NAF
• Leading the technical solution through the whole lifecycle from concept to in-service
• Providing architecture guidance to engineering teams
• Understanding customer requirements (both in terms of technology need and operational context
• Integration of Commercial of the Shelf technologies
• Experience of open standard approaches to system design, collaboration, and interoperability.
• Experience of specifying and developing MBSE / DevOps solutions for both customers and suppliers.
• Familiarity with UML, SysML and Archimate
• Use of NCSC secure design principles and industry best practice in the design of system and security architectures

Understanding of:

• Information Systems and architectures
• Information Assurance (IA) and cyber security
• MoD or Industry IT projects and programmes
• Enterprise level design, Physical and Electrical Safety, Security and Environmental compliance
