The Technical Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the technical architecture of an organisation. They must ensure that the architecture is in line with the organisation’s business objectives and meets the needs of its users. The Technical Architect must have a deep understanding of the organisation’s technology stack and be able to identify and implement solutions to any technical issues. They must also be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and other technical staff to ensure that the architecture is implemented correctly. The Technical Architect must also be able to identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve the organisation’s efficiency and effectiveness.

This Technical Architect role will be part of Capita’s Architecture Practice and work on assignments within project teams to provide technical designs and guidance on various aspects of infrastructure solutions to address customer requests. Responsible for producing high-level and low-level designs, and providing advice and support for transition, transformation, and delivery on a variety of initiatives such as cloud migrations, data centre moves, server-based computing, and desktop transformation technologies such as VDI and application virtualisation.
The Technical Architect also applies functional knowledge and technical expertise to design systems that support customer needs.
The position will be home-based in the UK. The successful candidate will also receive upskilling on aspects of Microsoft Azure and other Cloud-related services to support future development.
