This is an opportunity to join the Vulnerability Analysis and Remediation team as a Vulnerability Analysis and Remediation engineer for End-User Device (EUD) patching & Vulnerability remediation, this will be across all EUD operating systems but focusing on Windows. You will work with the client account teams and 3rd line BAU teams to understand the impact to vulnerability remediation whilst also following change management processes and implementing changes through to completion.
Our PMSO currently supports in excess of 6000 Windows, 3000 Unix based servers thousands of EUDs, hundreds of Databases, petabytes of storage and thousands of network devices and links, throughout the UK, both internally for CGI and within a number of clients.
Vulnerability management is the process of staying on top of vulnerabilities so the fixes can be more frequent and effective, almost anything can become a vulnerability and thus a liability to network security.

Your future duties and responsibilities
This is a key role that needs a reliable, resourceful person, capable of showing initiative, with the appropriate skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently when required. You will need to work well under pressure and be able to manage your own workload whilst taking ownership of changes and attending Change advisory boards and assisting in the upskilling and guidance of the trainee members of the team.
Knowledge sharing and training of other members will be part of your role and you will be required to follow standard procedures which are regularly audited to maintain external quality standards accreditation.
Day to day, you will be involved in the following activities;
– Undertake DLM activities to patch OS and other vulnerabilities for all operating systems and platforms
– Patching across several technologies and applications
– Managing support & troubleshooting as well as recovery in the event of hardware failure or for agents
– Manage change documentation, other administrative portals as part of the process
– Be proactive and raise incidents for further investigation, undertake some investigation where required and diagnose faults.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You must be a quick Learner and Self Motivated, with a background in vulnerability remediation, specifically within EUD operating systems – windows as well as apple.
You will be experienced in using a number of patching tools including but not limited to SCCM, WSUS, packages, Images, PatchMyPC or equivalent.
All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) and SC+ level.
