To drive commercial excellence across contracts and projects, to protect Babcock with regard to the acceptability of terms and conditions and to provide guidance, advice, diligence and instruction supporting the tendering, negotiating and placing of subcontracts performed by direct reports. Provide the Strategic Infrastructure Business Unit, Head of Commercial with effective support in compilation of pre tender estimates, cost planning and modelling of design and implementation options, cost review/monitoring of projects, tender compilation, negotiation, commercial review and subcontractor claim reviews. Ensure Contract Administration carried out iaw Contract requirements and in line with Corporate Governance. As a SME, provide guidance across all contracts in their specialism.
Accountabilities
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is professionally accountable to the Head of Commercial for Project Related Matters.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is accountable to the Project Managers for day to day cost control matters.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
MCIOB, MRICS or equivalent preferred
Site induction- Devonport
Demonstrable quantity surveying experience at senior level. NEC contracting experience preferred.
