Cyber Security Analyst – London – 6 months – £400-450pd
A growing business is actively recruiting for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their team on an initial 6-month contract.
We are looking for somebody able to effectively identify and respond to security alerts and incidents, allowing for the business to operate smoothly. This is a hands-on role working closely with security tools in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hybrid role with two days per week on-site in central London.
The Cyber Security Analyst will have the following responsibilities:
Monitoring security tools, including IDS, SIEM and EDR to enable rapid detection and response to threats
Carrying out response to cyber attacks and threats
Analysis of data from monitoring tools, applications and networks to identify abnormal system behaviour
Completing network-based analysis as part of incident responses
Understanding new threats and vulnerabilities in order to detect potential future attacks
Reporting on cyber security incidents, attacks and potential threats
Carrying out response to incidents affecting security operations
Key skills and experience required:
Strong experience with SIEM tools, IDS and anti-malware
Extensive experience with EDR/XDR, SOAR
Network traffic analysis experience
A broad understanding of networking principles, TCP/IP
Web application Firewall experience
Excellent reporting and documentation skills
Cyber certification eg Blue Team L1, SEC503 – GCIA etc.
