An impressive financial services business is looking to hire a Cyber Security Analyst to support this team with the risk and remediation activities. This business is going through a big technology transformation programme that is estimated to take 3 -5 years. The successful Cyber Security Analyst will be part of this journey and have great technical exposure and the ability to rapidly progress.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful Cyber Security Analyst will:

• Work collaboratively with the wider SecOps team to help protect the organisation from cyber attacks.
• Be involved in monitoring, analysing and responding to security incidents and events, as well as threat research and risk assessments.
• Proactively protect the critical date networks and applications of the business
• Support with security monitoring across the technology estate and applications including tool deployments runbooks and effective detection.
• Engage with outsourced security operations service providers to ensure that the service meets the business needs. These partners support with Intrusion detection, Anti-DDos, Pen testing and Security Monitoring

Cyber Security Analyst – Your Background

The ideal Cyber Security Analyst will have:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a Cyber Security role
• A proven passion for cyber security and cyber resilience
• The ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
• The ability to learn quickly and learn on the job
• Understanding of Firewalls, proxies, SIEM EDR, ADR and other security concepts
• Exposure to security monitoring and detection and response
• Strong incident response skills and the ability to follow a playbook
• Hands on experience with Microsoft EDR
• Demonstrable exposure to SIEM tools
• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks
• A degree or similar in a related field
• It would be desirable to have certifications such as 
  • CySA+
  • Security +
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner/Security
  • CISSP
  • CCSP
