What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Work closely with other senior leaders across the business, supporting the delivery of all short- and long-term ARL objectives, whilst assisting with safety and managerial governance processes.
2. Develop and execute an IT strategy that supports Arriva Rail London’s business goals and objectives, working closely with senior management to identify technology-driven improvements.
3. Drive digital transformation initiatives.
4. Provide leadership and guidance to the IT Team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
5. Manage day-to-day IT Operations, including service desk, incident management, problem resolution, and system performance monitoring.
6. Manage the budget, keeping track of expenses and considering strategic recommendations to ensure cost effectiveness.
7. Work closely with external vendors, including software and hardware providers.
8. Implement robust information security measures to protect sensitive data, systems, and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Qualifications:

This individual will require:

1. Proven experience working within a Senior IT Management role, ideally within the transportation/rail industry.
2. Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Systems, and Software, including network architecture, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
3. Demonstrable experience in driving digital transformation and managing complex IT projects.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse IT workforce.
5. A strategic mindset with a focus on delivering outstanding results.
6. Education to a degree level in computer science or equivalent experience.
