A growing business in London is looking for an Information Security Engineer. The office is based in Central London and offering a hybrid approach with travel to the office approx. 2 days a week.

The IT Security Engineer will need solid knowledge of infrastructure & network security technologies, IT security best practices, system hardening, SIEM solution monitoring and vulnerability management.

This Information Security Engineer role will suit someone who is looking for a new fresh and exciting challenge as an InfoSec Engineer within a very successful and growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Operational IT security, including monitoring and maintenance of IT Security tools, this includes the SIEM and Vulnerability management platforms.

• Assist with the vulnerability management and remediation process.

• Assisting the IT Team to ensure that the various IT platforms are secure and hardened, include reviewing planned changes for security impacts.

• Assist with risk assessments and internal/external audits.

• Encryption key management

• Assisting in day-to-day administration of Privilege access management solution.

• Supporting the delivery of cyber security strategies aimed at reducing the likelihood and impact of attacks; develop policies, operational processes, cloud security to ensure a secure architecture.

• Identify cyber security issues.

• Build and manage excellent working relationships with all staff members.

• Monitor cloud resources, hypervisors, network devices, servers, and endpoint devices.

Practical Skills:

• Practical and theoretical knowledge of network layers and protocols, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Windows Defender, DLP, AIP, MDM, Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows servers, Hyper-V, and tools and solutions like NMAP, Metasploit, Tor, Wireshark, Aircrack-ng.
• Ethical Hacking concepts such as: System Hacking, Sniffing, Session Hijacking, Reconnaissance, Footprinting, Scanning Networks, Honeypots, Malware Threats, Enumeration, Cryptography, Buffer Overflow, Denial of Service, Hacking Wireless Networks, SQL Injection, Penetration Testing.

It is essential that all Information Security Engineers have first class communication skills – both written and verbal.
