Finance and Operations are instrumental in our organisation’s seamless functioning, serving as strategic partners to various business units to enhance team performance and continually improve processes. In the past 18 months, this department has played a pivotal role in our remarkable growth, overseeing the expansion of our workforce from a modest 30 employees to an impressive 110+.
Your mission
The Information Security Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving the security and compliance framework for hyperexponential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, compliance, and a deep understanding of SOC 2 and ISO 27001 management, with a proven ability to lead audits and ensure adherence to these standards. You will lead the InfoSec committee to champion and implement best-in-class security practices, bolstering our overall security posture. You will work in close partnership with functions across the business to develop and enforce our compliance program, meticulously evaluating risks associated with our technology platforms, and diligently safeguarding the organisation’s valuable assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility of Information Security at hyperexponential, ensuring the highest standards are upheld and compliance is always achieved
Ensure we continue to adhere to ISO 27001 standard, owning day to day management, continuous improvement and internal/external audits
Ownership of the ISMS (Information Security Management System), including all controls and ensuring all controls are adhered to
Initial implementation and ongoing management of SOC 2 compliance
Ensure that the organisation complies with relevant industry regulations and standards keeping abreast of evolving regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
Ownership of information and data compliance and risk
Collaborate with the business to ensure technology and vendors used across the company is compliant with our security standards
Collaborate with key stakeholders within the organisation, including InfoSec committee and function leads, to ensure alignment of security and compliance objectives with business goals
Management of internet security incidents, disaster recovery planning and testing
Management of our Managed Service Provider for internal IT – this includes overseeing them ensuring the company’s IT systems are secure and resilient and we have top-notch Cyber Security controls
Key Requirements:
5+ years experience in professional environment with 2+ years in Information Security/Risk Management
Proven experience in information security and cybersecurity. This includes the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organisation’s assets and data from threats and vulnerabilities.
Strong experience with standards, running internal/external audits and implementations of ISO27001 & ideally SOC 2 Type II
Experience leveraging technology and automation to streamline and improve security and compliance
Familiarity with security compliance standards and best practices
Supplier management experience
Strong tech knowledge in IT
Self-motivated individual with flexible approach to working
Willingness to learn and aptitude to remain up to date with information security standards and Technology
Excellent communication skills
