Information Security Officer – GRC

£55,000 – £65,000 + benefits

Leeds – 3 days/week onsite

Are you looking to take strategic ownership of an Information Security function in a highly regulated business?

A well-established, well-recognised organisation in Leeds are looking to hire an experienced Information Security professional.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be responsible for all aspects of information security in a highly regulated industry and gain valuable experience.

As the Information Security Officer you will ensure compliance with information security controls, management policies, and procedures, which are integral to the organisation’s ISO 27001 certification.

They will identify, report, and act upon audit and compliance risks, directing and coordinating the response with other groups to mitigate any threats.

Responsibilities:

• Ongoing effectiveness of the ISO 27001 (ISMS) and its alignment with the standard.
• Conducting regular compliance assessments for the firm’s Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
• Ensuring that policies & processes are in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Prepare Incident Reponse Plans
• Performing assessments to gauge compliance with the organisations security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Collaborating with relevant cross-functional stakeholders

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 (Five) years Information Security experience.
• Proficiency in operating, monitoring, and implementing security policies, standards, and controls.
• Solid grasp of information security controls and technology.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 27000 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and auditing.
• Familiarity with Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Competence in managing external audit activities and providing support for internal audits.
• Understanding of risk management principles.
• Certifications including; CISA, CRISC, ISO27001 Lead Auditor, are also desirable.
