Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a IT Analyst to work for one of our clients based in Filton, Bristol, UK.

To increase compliance regarding handling of sensitive data, our Cyber Security team has created a new product to manage this perimeter; the Data Compliance Center (DCC). Its main objective is to ensure that potential non-compliance of sensitive (e.g Internal Classification, Export Control) data transfers and hosting, has the corresponding detection, alerting and remediation in place.

As a Data Compliance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization’s data security by investigating and remediating non-compliances. Operating at the intersection of security and compliance, you will utilize tools such as Splunk SIEM, SOAR, Jira to analyze, respond to, and report on data compliance alerts.

Your responsibilities span a wide spectrum of tasks, including incident response, forensics analysis, alert qualification, and collaboration with data governance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data compliance alerts generated by our Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) system.

• Execute predefined playbooks and workflows to respond to alerts promptly and effectively.

• Conduct detailed analysis of alerts, investigating potential breaches or compliance violations.
• Ensure adherence to export control and national regulations throughout the incident response process.
• Qualify alerts, distinguishing between genuine threats and false positives.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including legal, compliance, and IT teams, to communicate and mitigate compliance issues effectively.

• Collaborate with the security team in the design and testing of new detection use-cases.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing detection mechanisms and propose enhancements as needed.

Skills
