IT Manager – £28 – 32K – Leeds

An established client of ours in the Technology sector are looking for a IT Manager to join their internal IT department, on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will agree and deliver the IT service at the company; and be responsible for the development, maintenance and operation of all the IT systems at the School; providing IT support to all users.

Key Responsibilities:

• In consultation with the Directorate, manage the design and implementation of IT requirements at the school. Develop the IT strategic plan and budgets to support short, medium and long-term targets.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that data gathering, and other systems are appropriate and compatible.
• Develop and maintain an IT Strategy, which ensures a high level of delivery and service to all staff and supports both existing systems and future planned developments.
• Review, update and apply IT policies and procedures for the company.
• Manage all IT relationships with external providers. Review and manage any support contracts, carrying out periodic reviews to confirm best practice and value for money is being achieved.
• Manage the School’s software licenses & license schemes
• Handle the yearly IT Budget for all IT related aspects (equipment, software, telephony, internet, and licensing).
• Provide IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, local and/or wide area networks, ensuring IT security.
• Respond and implement, as necessary, developments within computer network management and security, applying protocols such as CyberEssentials and PCI-DSS as appropriate.
• Create, implement and monitor solutions to minimise operational downtime of all IT equipment and services.
• Maintain a detailed network plan and inventory and documentation of the IT services, systems and assets.
