As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Manager to lead our IT team and ensure the efficiency, security, and reliability of our IT infrastructure.
Role Overview As the IT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the organisation’s network, providing hands-on support, managing infrastructure, and security.
You will oversee all IT-related activities, from implementing customised systems to coordinating projects and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will drive IT initiatives that align with business goals, minimize risk, and support our construction projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Work ethically in line with the Company’s Vision and Values, setting an example for the IT team.
• Manage the security of the company’s systems and electronic data, implementing robust security measures to safeguard against data breaches and cyber threats.
• Continually review business requirements and propose changes to ensure the company remains up to date with relevant systems and technology.
• Plan, direct, and oversee activities related to the company’s IT infrastructure and information systems.
• Coordinate projects for the implementation of hardware, software, and network systems, leading an implementation team, as necessary.
• Manage the network and server infrastructure, ensuring alignment with current and future business requirements.
• Evaluate risks, develop network recovery and backup processes, and assure IT activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Test, troubleshoot, and adjust information systems to ensure effective operation.
• Plan all IT projects, evaluating each stage and ensuring alignment with business needs and budgets.
• Smoothly transition from old to new systems, providing resilience and support throughout the changeover process.
• Keep stakeholders updated on progress, issues, and tasks related to IT projects.
• Effectively manage the transition away from the external Managed Service Provider (MSP), monitoring performance and identifying key trends.
• Provide solutions for identified trends, implementing improvements to enhance IT performance.
• Coordinate integration of all systems and processes within the IMS, ensuring conformity with relevant certified business standards such as ISO 27001.
• Report on IT function and role performance to the Operations Manager, escalating issues to appropriate Directors when necessary.
• Define and apply an information security risk assessment process, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of IT and business training programs for staff development.
• Providing hands-on IT support when required
• Support and mentor IT staff in carrying out duties and responsibilities effectively.

Core Business Skills/Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar IT management role, preferably within the construction or related industry.
• Proven track record of coordinating installations, upgrades, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Ability to identify software needs and oversee code development processes.
• Strong critical thinking skills to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.
• Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and other relevant technologies.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills.
