Lead Infrastructure Engineer – Remote Working

On behalf of our industry-leading client based in Manchester, we are recruiting for an experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer with strong Azure experience.

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

• Provide technical expertise as an Infrastructure Engineer; participate in the formulation of security engineering best practices; assess security configurations; and documentation of security processes, controls, and procedures.
• Design, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of information systems and networks.
• Plan, implemented, managed, monitored, and upgraded security measures for the protection of the information systems and networks.
• Work with relevant control owners/teams to understand and identify areas for improvement in the identification of and recovery from information security threats and incidents.
• Assist in the delivery of Cyber Security workstreams, assessing the impact on IT service security to prioritise actions
• Leading the team.

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will have the following:

• Strong Azure experience
• In-depth understanding, experience, and working knowledge of the build, configuration, and support of Microsoft technologies, SharePoint, PC, server, and network systems (CISCO Switches & Servers, Firewalls), anti-virus packages, Virtualisation (VMWare and/or Hyper-V).
• Support the design, implementation, establishment, and management of a Cyber Security function experience in the penetration process and vulnerability remediation.
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills, identifying root causes and offering solutions.
• Strong administration of Azure Cloud and Data Centres infrastructure.
• Strong network and firewall knowledge.
• Strong Leadership and Management experience
