Network Infrastructure Engineer – Chatham, Kent

£35,000 – £38,000 plus excellent benefits, some WFH

My client a people focused profession services organisation, seek an experienced Infrastructure Engineer/Systems Support Engineer/Network Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage software, hardware and networks.

As the Network Infrastructure Engineer/Systems Support Engineer/Network Administrator, you will support the Head of Business Technology with ongoing software and hardware implementation, mentor Junior Engineers.

Core technical skills required for the Infrastructure Engineer/Systems Support Engineer/Network Administrator:

• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows, Office 365, Azure, Android, iOS).
• Experience of VMWare, Crowdstrike Falcon and Darktrace a bonus.

The Network Infrastructure Engineer/Systems Support Engineer/Network Administrator will cultivate a strong cyber security posture within infrastructure and proactively support internal and external end-users in using systems.

Key Responsibilities for the Network Infrastructure Engineer/Systems Support Engineer/Network Administrator:

• Installing and Configuring Software, Hardware, and Networks.
• Monitoring System Performance.
• Ensuring Security and Efficiency.
• Troubleshooting Issues and Outages.
• Setting up and managing users in several key business systems.
• Maintaining and Updating Systems.
• Backup and Recovery.
• Providing Technical Support and Training.
• Collaborating with other departments in ongoing projects.
• Documenting Processes and Monitoring IT Infrastructure.
• Managing Cyber Security training for employees.

Qualifications and Technical Skills for the Network Infrastructure Engineer/Systems Support Engineer/Network Administrator position:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not essential).
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows, Office 365, Azure, Android, iOS)
• Experience of VMWare, Crowdstrike Falcon and Darktrace a bonus.
