Job description:
This role is for a 12-month fixed-term contract and will be based in our Oxford or London office 1-2 times per week.
About the role
We are looking for a Product Manager to join Nominet. You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can confidently steer the direction of our products based on both current and future business challenges our customers face – ensuring we continue to offer best in class products.
You will effectively manage the product lifecycle working closely with the engineering team to ensure timely delivery against commitments and delivery of value to the customers.
You will manage the product backlog(s), prioritisation and contribution the agile development lifecycle within multiple software and infrastrcuture development teams.
The essential bits
It is essential that you have experience of working as part of a large project team to deliver customer projects, working with users and customers to gather feedback and test ideas and a high degree of commercial acumen.
You will have experience as a product manager where you have worked with one or more engineering teams. It would be a real bonus if you have knowledge of DNS or other internet technologies/cybersecurity.
About you and your experience
You will have a background working in a product management and have strong communication skills, with the ability to own defined components or features. You will have experience of defining and articulating product requirements to allow technical requirements and solutions matched to them. Demonstrable experience of working closely with teams to determine a prioritised, value driven roadmap for products and experience of owning your product roadmap.
