WHAT TO EXPECT
We are looking for an accomplished Product Owner to join our Powertrain team and play a pivotal role in advancing our Battery Management and Charging Software. In this position you will be responsible for leading the delivery of automotive networks and cyber security within our battery management and charging software, which will enable JLR’s next generation of battery electric vehicles.
You will work alongside Group Product Owners, SMEs, Programme Delivery Engineers, In-House software teams and external software suppliers to define and deliver the roadmaps to production-ready software that delivers value to our customers.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for setting and driving delivery through the prioritisation of work based on business and customer impact. You will define the vision and convey this vision to the squad.
Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Define product increments and stories
Ensure the voice of the customer is heard at squad level
Establish, facilitate and participate in key agile ceremonies including showcases across co-located & virtual teams
Owning and managing the product backlog for networks and cyber security.
Managing and resolving obstacles
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
The right person for this position will be a Product Owner that has a proven track record of delivery that possesses a comprehensive understanding of embedded software, automotive networks and cyber security. If you are someone that has familiarity with Gitlab this would be advantageous.
Essential:
Experience of delivery through technical delivery teams, including software development
Technical knowledge of Systems Engineering, V-Model, Systems Integration, Systems Architecture, and Requirements management
Experience in the design of communication networks (Ethernet, CAN-FD, LIN)
Experience in the delivery of embedded software products in an automotive/aerospace context
Product Owner / Product delivery experience
