Security Analyst

I am working with a leading finance company based in Fleet who are looking for a Security Analyst to help safeguard their organization from cyberattacks. Responsibilities include monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, installing protective software, and documenting detections for efficient breach mitigation. You’ll defend computer systems from theft, loss, and cyberattacks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document security breaches, assess damage, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Perform network vulnerability assessments and remediation.
• Stay updated on IT security trends and news, developing company-wide best practices.
• Conduct internal penetration testing and assist in installing security software.
• Serve as an escalation point for resolving security and network issues from the service desk.

Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role in information security.
• Expertise in computer network penetration testing techniques and experience in related fields.
• Familiarity with firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and communicate avoidance strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Professional certification in Security+, CySA+, CEH, CISA, or CISSP preferred
