About the role

This is a new position in our Professional Services team, and the Senior Consultant will be responsible for the strategy, design, and delivery of IT transformation projects across cloud infrastructure and modern workplace environments.

The role provides technical pre-sales consultancy and project delivery across the full project lifecycle for DA customers, ensuring that the technical solutions (proposed and delivered) meet their needs.

As this is a senior technical role, you will need to demonstrate that you are comfortable with both, cloud infrastructure and modern workplace enabling technologies. You will be an expert in at least 2 of the following 3 areas: Azure cloud infrastructure, Intune and endpoint management and M365 modern workplace.

Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

• Conduct assessments of customers’ environments and identify areas for improvement, specifically around securing, scaling and ensuring high availability.
• Engage in client workshops, effectively translating business requirements into technical briefs.
• Draft pre-sales designs in accordance with the company’s technical standards.
• Provide training and support to customers IT staff to adopt new technologies, and internal support teams when transitioning services into operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Deliver technical project work in complex environments to expected quality, time, and budget.
• Discuss and represent the team’s practices internally and externally, including delivering ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions.
• Develop your business network, attending events and building relationships with key suppliers.
• Ensure timely completion of timesheets for accurate project billing and reporting.
• Support DA in the development of junior staff (e.g. service desk engineers) – lead by example, coach and share knowledge to ensure we continue to foster an inclusive working environment.

Internal stakeholder collaboration

• Provide technical leadership in the design and delivery of IT services.
• Work with the team and Project Managers to deliver projects.
• Perform peer reviews of the team’s pre-sales designs and recommendations.
• Support the sales team in customer meetings as part of presales engagements when required.
• Contribute to post-project lessons learned meetings chaired by the Project Managers.
• Work with the Service Desk Manager to ensure appropriate handover to the Service Desk team at project closure.

Qualifications, skills & experience

Must have

• Strong experience in at least 2 of the following areas: cloud infrastructure management, modern workplace and endpoint management.
• Solid understanding and exposure to other adjacent technologies such as Wintel, networking, security, data, virtualisation.
• Strong working knowledge and experience of delivering projects and programmes of change in your technical area.
• Excellent PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience of performing diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Good communicator with client-facing experience and an emphasis on exceptional customer service.
• Experience of writing high-quality pre-sales documentation.
• Good appreciation of financial governance of projects (budget/time tracking, changes to scope, etc.).
• Very good organisation and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail and appreciation of the importance of following process.

Nice to have

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or demonstrate an equivalent work experience.
• Any related Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Azure Certifications
