Your Role: Senior IT Buyer
Strategise and Innovate: Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, staying abreast of market trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in IT procurement.
National Vendor Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with global vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
Tender Management: Able to manage complex IT Tenders including Cyber Security alongside hardware and software
Technology Adoption: Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge technologies, aligning IT procurement with the organisation’s strategic goals and digital transformation initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data analytics to make informed decisions, optimise costs, and enhance overall IT procurement efficiency.
Risk Management: Mitigate risks associated with IT procurement through thorough risk assessment and proactive contract management.
Requirements:
Education: Ideally MCIPS Qualified or actively studying
Experience: Solid experience within IT procurement, with a proven track record of strategic sourcing and vendor management.
Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse data, assess market trends, and make strategic decisions based on findings.
Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
This role requires the successful candidate to be happy to work on a Hybrid basis, with 1-2 days per week in the state-of-the-art offices based in Coventry.
