An experienced Systems Manager – Engineering, is now sought by a leading national organisation to take immediate responsibility for bridging the gap between engineering and IT. An operational systems management role that manage the changes and systems that support the successful operation of the Company’s sites.
This role will require a Systems Manager who has experience of managing a team of Engineers who support critical operational systems within manufacturing, heavy plant, power generation or a similar environment. A Systems Manager who is able understand how operational applications, machinery and systems interface and link with traditional IT systems and infrastructure.
Essential knowledge and experience required for the role of Systems Manager – Engineering
– IT Management from within, engineering, manufacturing, heavy industry or power generation or similar. – Management of operational technology/machinery/controls instrumentation – Exposure to Network + Systems Directive (NIS) – Traditional IT systems and infrastructure knowledge – Server/Cloud/Networking/Virtualisation – Understanding of Cybersecurity solutions – Project and change management – Management and mentoring of a team
As the Systems Manager you will be offered a starting salary of £60,000 – £70,000 + 25% Annual Bonus, 35 days annual leave and other exceptional benefits.
This role is hybrid but will require travel to UK sites predominantly in the north of the UK.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced IT/Systems Manager with experience of leading a team with the engineering, manufacturing, heavy industry or power generation or similar sectors. In which critical machinery/operational technology has plugged into traditional IT infrastructure.
