Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

Location: Leigh, Greater Manchester (1 day a week in office)

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000

Job Objective:

As a Technical Support Engineer you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional technical assistance and support to customers and internal teams. You will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues related to my clients cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably with a focus on the latest technologies.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking concepts, including but not limited to cloud computing, virtualization,
• cybersecurity, and IoT.
• Proficient in troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools for identifying and resolving technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and support.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Technical Knowledge:

• Proficient in Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Windows Server 2012 and newer).
• Expertise in Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10 and newer).
• Strong understanding and experience with Active Directory and RDS deployments.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with Hyper-V and VMware virtualization technologies.
• Basic understanding of storage systems, including SAN and NAS.
• Well-versed in antivirus technologies, firewalls, and networking fundamentals.
• Skilled in backup and restore operations.
